Four Years

Four years, 3 moves, 2 rentals, 2 kids, 1 mortgage, 1 dog, and 1 change of city later, Neil and I are celebrating.

We are celebrating life, love, and our family. We talked over our trip last weekend about how sometimes it feels like we’ve been married for-eh-ver, and sometimes it feels like no time at all.

I guess that’s what happens when you are married to someone who is more than your husband. Neil is my friend, my love, my baby daddy (ha!), my protector, my secret keeper, my personal comedian, my soul mate. Our wedding day was such a whirlwind (aren’t they all?), so it’s fun to talk about what each of us went through on that day. We decided to be very traditional and not see each other until I walked down the aisle. I love hearing how nervous he was (because I was too!), but also that he knew this was the beginning of the rest of his life (mine too!).

Neil, these past 4 years as your wife have been some of the best years of my life. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for us! You are a wonderful husband and father. I love you with all my heart!

  1. You had a great photographer!! I’m so blessed to have shared in your special day as your Maid of Honor as you were mine on my special day. Wow, the years fly by and sooner rather than later it will be Happy 30th Anniversary! Enjoy each day that you have together like its your last. Congratulations!! Happy Anniversary!! Love you both!

  4. Very nice picture!! And happy anniversary!! (Anthony and I got married one day shy of Russ and Rachel’s one year anniversary… so about a year after y’all as well!)

I think I was too excited to be marrying my “best friend ever of all time” to be nervous, but Anthony has said he was. Our 3 years have been a roller coaster (as y’all’s has, I’m sure), but we wouldn’t trade it for THE WORLD (y’all, too, I’d bet).

  5. That is a beautiful picture! You guys were married just a few weeks after Russ and I were; we just celebrated our 4th anniversary, too. Congratulations on 4 great years!
