When you haven’t seen your favorite super family in well over a decade, you get a little crazy excited about their reappearance! Incredibles 2 opens in theaters June 15, and we can’t wait to see what the Parr family is up to now! In preparation for this big premiere, we’re making one of our favorites: slime!

Incredibles Slime Recipe

I’ve made slime on the blog before, but this time, I wanted to try something a little different. My kids love playing with it, but sometimes it can be a bit much using the recipe I previously created.

For this recipe, I’ve scaled back the quantities a bit, and I think this will be helpful for little hands that want to join in the fun.

Supplies Needed

  • Kid-friendly glue (we use Elmer’s Clear Glue)
  • Borax
  • Water
  • A mixing bowl
  • Measuring cup
  • Spoon or spatula
  • Glitter (optional)
  • Incredibles 2 confetti

Directions

Separate the two mixing bowls and add 1/4 cup of water to one bowl.

Add 1/4 teaspoon of Borax to 1/4 cup of water in a measuring cup and stir well. Sarah’s tip: hot water helps dissolve the Borax quicker.

Add 1/4 cup of glue to the mixing bowl with plain water. Stir well. Sarah’s Tip: Add the glitter and/or confetti pieces here. I’ve tried it several ways and this way seems to make the pieces “stay in” the slime better. We were out of the color glitter I wanted this time, so I opted for clear slime with confetti for the pop of color. Slowly add the Borax and water mixture to the bowl with water and glue. Stir until the slime begins to form.

As slime forms, begin to knead and shape slime with your hands. Keep kneading until the liquid is absorbed. Sarah’s Tip: If your slime gets too stiff, add more plain water to increase the “slimy” texture.

After you’ve made your fun creation, it will be time to check out Incredibles 2 in theaters! Helen, Bob, Dash, Violet, and Jack-Jack are back in their newest film that addresses the need for supers to come back into the light. Helen joins a team of supers to fight back against crime, while Mr. Incredible, Bob, gets to stay home with the kids. It will be interesting to see this modern take on our favorite super family!

Check out this hilarious clip of Bob trying to wrangle his crew as they begin to discover Jack-Jack’s new powers!
