I love my church. One of the reasons I was drawn to my church is because of the people inside it. They are absolutely genuine, and they want to know you personally and encourage you as you walk through life. I love knowing I’ve always got someone to lean on.
This Sunday, October 19th, my church is going out into the community. We want to know our community. We want to talk to our community, share time with our community, and ask folks, “What can/should the church be doing for you?”
We’re going to have an informal service beginning at 10:46 am, complete with worship, praying, and a message from Garry Brantley, our preaching minister. Before, and after, the service, we will hang out, play games, eat hot dogs (we have 800 lined up to cook) and chips, drink water (we have 1,000 bottled waters to share), and just spend time loving on the folks within our community.
If you live in the Birmingham area and would like to join us, please come out to Veteran’s Park on Valleydale Road this Sunday, anytime between 9 am and 5 pm. We hope you will let us get to know you as we seek to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community!
