Are you ready to tackle the back-to-school routine? Some days I feel like we are ready, while other days I feel like we are woefully under prepared. Our biggest issue in our family is our routine. While we never had to adhere to a preschool or daycare routine, we did participate in a few activities during the fall/winter/spring months that kept us on a somewhat of a schedule. But this summer? We have been all over the place. Bedtime at 7:30pm, up at 6:30am, napping, not napping, sleeping in until 8am (my younger self is guffawing at 8am being a “sleeping in” time), staying up till 11pm because we’re on vacation and we can; you name it, we’ve done it this summer. My kids are late to school if they I roll up to the drop-off line at 7:45am, so that is going to be a rude awakening for all of us (probably mostly me) in and of itself.

Because of this impending change, I figured it was the right time to introduce a routine chart into the mix. Make Your Morning School Routine Easier with this Free PrintableWhile my girls cannot read yet, they are beginning to identify letters and words, especially if they are associated with pictures. I created this simple printable in hopes that, one day, they will be able to actually read the words and know what to do each morning. If nothing else, it will get them started during those foggy, groggy mornings when getting out of bed seems like it’s going to be the most arduous task of the day. Morning Routine Free PrintableDownload your own copy here and frame it, laminate it, or stick it straight on the wall for a quick and easy way to help your child start school like a champion.

Another way you can help your child with the beginning of the school year is by participating in the Walmart exclusive “Start School Like a Champion” campaign. Smucker Company, and The HERSHEY’S Company, you can earn a free Scholastic book for your child or your child’s school. Simply purchase the products you already know and love, enter your receipt by uploading it to StartSchoolLikeAChampion.com via your computer or smartphone, and redeem your books!3 Easy Steps to Start School Like a ChampionIt can take up to 3 days to receive the credits in your account, so be patient! You can redeem up to 90 credits (yes, 90!) between now and September 30, 2016. I can’t even imagine what we would do with 90 books, so we plan on donating a few of them to our local elementary schools. There’s a button right on the website to send the book straight to the school, so there is no need to ship the book to yourself and take it to the school (unless you just want to). 1. This is such a great program! In my mind you can never have too many books in your personal library, but I love that you can donate them as well. We’ve also been all over the place this summer, so getting back in to a routine will be interesting for us as well, your printable is a great idea! ~ Client
