Thanksgiving 2K12-Part 2

As promised yesterday, here’s what went down at our beach house Thanksgiving Day.

My mom always brings some sort of decorations to make the house we’re renting feel a little more like home. She’s been doing it for as long as I can remember, so it would feel weird for her decorations not to be there.

We were pushing it with the family photo time, so we had to make do with what we had.

I’ve found that, at this age in particular, if I want to get a good photo of my girls, I’m just going to have to set my camera on multi-shot mode and just click away. My motto is: “One picture has to turn out good, right?” Thank goodness for quick shutter speeds!

The following are some of the best pictures we’ve ever gotten of the girls. Props to my awesome husband for these!

I hope your family Thanksgiving was as fun as mine was! It’s so different now that my cousins and I are (mostly) all married and (mostly) all have kids. Being an adult is fun, but growing up and being apart isn’t always fun. I’m really thankful that we are still able to get together every now and then and stay connected to each others’ lives. I know it’s not always possible for all of us to be together because of jobs and/or kids and/or monetary situations, but I am grateful when we do make time for one another.

This time of year is so much fun because it’s almost like 2 months of non-stop get-togethers and parties! How was your Thanksgiving? Share your family stories with me in the comments!
