Manicure Fit for a Disney Princess
Do you love to get your nails done at a salon or do you like to do your nails yourself? Going to a salon for a manicure has become a luxury for me lately, but that doesn’t stop me from trying my hand at a few Pinterest ideas every now and then! However, a nail artist I am not, so they usually don’t turn out so well. I’ve just been sticking to plain polish for the last few months because I was getting frustrated with my lack of artistic finesse until I learned about a company called Jamberry.
What is Jamberry?
According to their website:
In 2010, a slow and expensive visit to a nail salon sparked the idea for sisters Lyndsey, Christy, and Keri to create a line of do-it-yourself nail wraps. Today, Jamberry is bringing you their creation: one-of-a-kind nail wraps that truly represent your signature style!
Jamberry nail wraps are made with durable materials, so smudges and streaks are never an issue, and can last for up to two weeks on fingernails and four weeks on toes. With over 300 nail wraps in an incredible variety of designs, you can customize, pair, and layer Jamberry nail wraps to create a look that’s all your own—all from the comfort of your home.
In addition to nail wraps, we also offer a variety of professional nail lacquers and incredible gel enamels for a fun way to create an accent nail or even paint those pesky pinky toes. Along with our Application Kit, Mini-Heater, and Hand & Nail Care items, our selection includes everything you need to pamper yourself and keep your nails looking fresh and beautiful.
Sounds too good to be true, right? How could wrapping something on your nail bed possible look great and last, right? Well, after two weeks of wearing my nail wraps and not taking it easy on them at all (in and out of pools and an entire day at the beach), I can confidently say I am in love with nail wraps (and they are much easier to do than I thought)!
Not only does Jamberry offer fun, stylish “regular” nail wraps, but they’ve recently released Disney inspired nail wraps too! You know I just had to get my hands on some of those! Check out these gorgeous designs!
Find a Local Consultant
I worked closely with my Jamberry consultant, Randi, who was an excellent teacher for my first time application process, and learned the tips and tricks necessary to make your wraps last.
Tips for a Great Manicure
One of the biggest pointers she gave me was to make sure my nails were clean and to push back my cuticles as much as I could. The nail wraps won’t stick to your skin, so they really need a clean nail bed to adhere too. Another great tip is to use the rubber cuticle pusher that comes in the Jamberry application kit to smooth out any mistakes you may have made in the application process. Randi has been a consultant for a while, and her nails looked fantastic! Mine were pretty good for a first try, but I know I’ll be working toward getting better in the future.
Are Jamberry Wraps Worth It?
I finally had to say goodbye to my wraps earlier this week as it was getting obvious that I’d had them on for a long time! The removal process is easy too. I soaked my nails in my regular nail polish remover, broke the seal on the side of the wraps with my orange stick, and worked the wrap off by moving side-to-side with a cotton pad soaked in nail polish remover. Jamberry sells their own nail wrap & lacquer remover, but if this is your first foray into Jamberry, don’t feel like you need to break the bank buying all. the. things. However, you definitely want to invest in an application kit and a set of awesome wraps to get started.
