Blossom VoxBox

I recently received a VoxBox from Influenster packed with a ton of products for me to try. I’ve received these boxes in the past, but this has been one of the best I’ve ever gotten (based on the amount of products and the fact that I would actually use a lot of them).

One of the first products I tried was the Beanitos chips. I was pleasantly surprised that these tasted so good. I ate them solo as a snack, but I bet they would be awesome with guac or salsa. I definitely preferred the original flavor to the chipotle bbq flavor (it was SPICY). I recently learned that Beanitos makes a “puff” type chip, so I might try those too next time I get groceries. I would eat these again.image1 (4) Would you believe Neil and I have been trying the Hair Food Root Cleansing Shampoo from Clairol together? He found it in the shower and decided it might help him too! I love the way it smells, but I really love how it cleans my hair, especially after a day of using a lot of product in it. I did find that I really needed to condition well after using it, but it served its purpose. Neil said it helped his hair get cleaner from product buildup too.FullSizeRender (3)I haven’t had the guts to try the Nasoya Pasta Zero Noodles yet, but I’m going to give them a try this week. They’re made from different things than traditional pasta (konjac flour, chickpea flour….say wha??), but the packaging claims to save you over 200 calories and we all know that it wouldn’t hurt me to not have so many carbs in my life (can I get an Amen for all the carb lovers out there?).

FullSizeRender (2)The last food item included in the box was 2 flavors of Bear Naked Granola, Coconut Almond Curry and Sea Salt Caramel Apple. I’m not a huge coconut person, but I liked both packages mixed in with yogurt. If I was going to eat them solo, I would’ve eaten the Sea Salt Caramel Apple by itself. image2 (3) Finally, there were some cosmetic products included in my box. I got to try Australian Gold Sunscreen SPF 30, NYC New York Color City Proof 24 HR eye Shadow, and Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs. The sunscreen was probably my favorite product. I even risked trying it on my face over Memorial Day weekend (my face is notorious for freaking out and getting rashes and pimples over just about any sunscreen), and I’m happy to report that it protected me and didn’t make my skin freak out. The eye shadow was great as a base, but the color was too muted to wear on its own. I did like that it kept my powder eye shadow from creasing and fading during the day. I wanted to love the Sally Hansen Airbrush legs, but, unfortunately, I had to select “medium” instead of “light” when I applied for the VoxBox (note to self, respond to emails for free products ASAP) and I am just not a medium skin tone. I spent several minutes after initial application wiping and smoothing and putting a little powder on my legs so they wouldn’t look so orange. I can see how I would love this product in the right color though. FullSizeRender (1) Overall, this was definitely the best VoxBox I’ve gotten in a while. If you’re unfamiliar with the Influenster program, read my first post about it here and then sign up for yourself! It’s completely free and you won’t regret it.
