Celebrate National Cookie Day with Insomnia Cookies!

Happy National Cookie Day!

Have you ever had a late night craving you just couldn’t deny? Thankfully, I never experienced any weird “pickle and ice cream” cravings while pregnant (although there was a weird 3 month Taco Bell addiction I really don’t want to talk about), but I have often thought about what to do when a late night sugar craving strikes. Insomnia Cookies DeliversThankfully, Insomnia Cookies has thought of a solution to the late night craving problem: a late night cookie shop with a delivery service. Yes, you read that right, they will deliver sugary, warm, chewy-in-the-center-crunchy-on-the-edges cookies right to your front door. Our local branch of Insomnia Cookies is located downtown (conveniently close to UAB for all you party study hard, night owl college kids), and they were kind enough to give me a sample of their box “The Sugar Rush” to try for this post. The Sugar Rush BoxHere’s what their website has to say about how they got started:

Insomnia Cookies is a rapidly expanding late-night bakery concept with offices in both New York and Philadelphia. Founded in a college dorm room in 2003 at the University of Pennsylvania, by then student, Seth Berkowitz, Insomnia Cookies  has been feeding the insatiable hunger of our fans ever since. We specialize in delivering warm, delicious cookies right to the doors of individuals and companies alike.

Why didn’t I think of that??” (I often have million dollar ideas that never materialize…such is life). Their delivery services are limited to the downtown Birmingham area right now, but that doesn’t mean you can’t stop by their brick-and-mortar store anytime between 11am-3am for a quick treat!

Let me start off by saying I picked this box up on the day it was raining cats and dogs and it was still warm when I got home. I live about 20 minutes from downtown Birmingham, so the fact that the box was still warm when I got home was amazing. Secondly, I appreciated the variety of cookies available in this particular box. Chocolate Chip, Sugar, Macadamia Nut, Snickerdoodle, and more!Eating Insomnia CookiesThe girls love it when mommy brings home delicious treats like these (being a blogger kid has its perks), and they give Insomnia Cookies two thumbs up.

Have I piqued your interest in these cookies yet? I hope so, because one lucky reader will have a chance to try them with their own $15 gift card to Insomnia Cookies! 1. Sweet:) White chocolate macadamia is my fave. Do they have seasonal cookies available if you go visit the store?
