It’s almost October! Can you believe it? We are getting pretty excited about the month of October in our house this week. The girls can’t wait to decorate the house, pick out a pumpkin (or two) at the local pumpkin patch, and get dressed up for Halloween. I think they’re most excited about that last part. Dress-up games are an everyday part of our life now, but there’s something about Halloween that makes dressing up extra fun.
Easy Spooky Spider Pudding Cups
One of the ways we love to celebrate Halloween is with fun treats, and what could be more fun than a spookily decorated Snack Pack Pudding Cup? These pudding cups always bring up fond memories of my childhood, and I’m really glad my girls like them too. We vary our favorite flavors, but right now we have equal love for the chocolate and chocolate vanilla flavors.
While grocery shopping at Walmart, we picked up all the supplies we needed to assemble our creepy crawly creation. Walmart has the best selection of Halloween merchandise for all your shopping, decorating, and party-throwing needs. As I’ve said before, I love going to Walmart because it is my one-stop shop for all my needs!
Spooky Spider Supplies

By the way, when you head out to shop, don’t forget to look for a great coupon for your Snack Pack Pudding Cups. You’ll find it in the aisle near the OREOs, and it says “Buy 14.3oz OREOs, get $1 off Super Snack Pack.” It’s definitely a coupon worth searching for because it makes your pudding cups even more inexpensive than they already are!
How to Make Them
See what I mean about dress-up parties? I haven’t been out of the house this week without someone in some form of costume! They’re only young once, right?
First, you’ll begin this fun activity by trimming your pipe cleaners to size. The ones I bought were a little large, so I just snipped them down to be a more manageable size.
Then, glue your eight “legs” to the sides of your cup using your hot glue gun. When they “legs” are solidly attached, press on the adhesive eyes and the mouth. I free-handed a pair of “fangs” on a sheet of white label paper to make this step a little easier for myself. Cut at an angle from the edge of the label to give yourself a straight line across the top of the “fang” and that nice point at the bottom.
Finally, add in some pre-crushed OREOs for the spider’s fuzzy “hair” and you’re done!
What a super cute craft! Your daughters are so cute! Have fun next week!!
Thank you Candy! Sorry I will miss seeing you at Type A, but maybe we can combine the two next year!?
This is such a cute project but I think eating the spooky creations would be the best part, yum! #client
