Get ready to celebrate the holidays in a whole new way with the gang from Goosebumps 2. Goosebumps 2 is available for digital download December 25, and will be available on Blu-Ray/DVD January 15, 2019. Find out how to have a spooky good viewing party with these great ideas!
How to Host a Goosebumps 2 Viewing Party
Based on the best-selling book series by R.L. Stine, Goosebumps 2 continues the story of devious ventriloquist Slappy as he runs amuck after best friends, Sonny and Sam, accidentally bring him back to life. The “Goosebumps” books are some of Caroline’s favorites, so we were so excited to participate in a “Goosebumps 2 Gummies” challenge featuring some fun, festive, and delicious treats. I am happy to be able to share with you what we did so you can host your own viewing party ASAP!
Conduct a Science Experiment
First, what fun would a viewing party be without an activity? Gummy bears play a prominent role in the film, and they make the perfect item to experiment on too! Check out my girls below in their YouTube debut. I’ve featured them before in my videos, but the idea for this video was 100% them!
Make Some Goodies
In addition to our science experiment, we made some yummy treats. I modified my holiday bark recipe from years past and added gummy bears as a bonus topping! The girls really enjoyed that extra treat.Everyone’s thinking about making cookies this time of year, so why not make some of Slappy’s cookies?

Enjoy a Beverage
Next, you’ll want an exciting beverage to go with your fun, sweet treats! We had a lot of fun making this holiday “mocktail” together. It’s so simple and easy! I only had glass, stemless champagne flutes available, but if you’re worried about kids breaking glasses, you can definitely substitute plastic or another similarly fun cup. Here’s what you’ll need:
- Stemless champagne flutes
- Colored Sugar/Sprinkles
- Sparkling Apple Cider
- Gummy bears
- Fun straws
Pour out your sugar/sprinkles onto a plate. Take your champagne flute and wet the rim slightly with water. Dip the wet rim in the plate with the sugar/sprinkles until the rim is coated. Add sparkling cider, gummy bears, and a fun straw! If you wanted to get fancy, you could use kitchen scissors or a knife to slight cut the bottom of the gummy bear to add it to the rim as a garnish. My kiddos just want to dunk theirs right in!
Slime: Everyone’s Favorite Activity
Finally, check out this clip below featuring Caleel Harris (“Sam”) and Jeremy Ray Taylor (“Sonny”) behind the scenes of Goosebumps 2.
Slappy’s Slime Recipe is fun and easy to make, and it’s even edible if you’re feeling brave enough to try it! My previous slime recipes have not been edible, so it’s cool to see how to make it edible if you so choose.
Goosebumps 2 on Digital and Blu-Ray/DVD
No viewing party would be complete without the movie to view, right? After you’ve had fun making treats and conducting experiments, it’s time to watch Goosebumps 2! Download your copy on digital 12/25 and pick up the Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack January 15!
