Mother’s Day 2015

Mother’s Day Weekend 2015 was an event. It always is when you gather family together._MG_3150Case in point. _MG_3151We just cant help ourselves sometimes. In all seriousness, I do love these people. They are a lot of fun to be around.

I ran the Agape “Run for a Mom” 1 Mile Fun run on Saturday with my kids and my parents and we had an awesome time. My 4 year olds are in better shape than I am. Yikes. I’m proud of them for wanting to race and finish. I didn’t capture it on camera, but when the girls crossed the finish line Mackenzie hugged Caroline and said, “Hey sis! We did it!” Oof. That was my heart melting and simultaneously combusting with joy. I guess I am doing an ok job as their mom after all.

I won’t do too much race recapping here because you can read about it over on my featured post on Alabama Women Bloggers today. This was my 3rd year to participate in the race to raise funds for Agape, and I’m really proud of that. Next year I’m going to get back to the 5K. I’ve got to if I’m going to keep up those aspirations of running the Disney Princess 1/2 Marathon someday!

4 generations of awesome women. Love being able to spend time with my mom and her mom.

Hope you and yours had a wonderful weekend!
