Thanksgiving 2K12-Part 1

So I know Thanksgiving was over a week ago, but I took last week to recover from our trip (read: I caught up on all my TV shows and did some online Christmas shopping). Do you ever feel like that? Like you need a vacation from your vacation? I am feeling it even more so now that I have kids. The girls really are great on trips (it really could be worse), but it can still be tiresome to try to stick to something of a schedule on vacation (cue the OCD parent trying not to lose her sanity). Anyways, now that we are back to reality and the comforting feeling that is our own beds and daily routine, I can now show you what we did.

My family has been going to South Carolina for Thanksgiving for the past few years. We usually go to Charleston, but this year we went to Myrtle Beach. We found this totally awesome, kid-friendly place while we were there called “Fun Warehouse.” It has your run-of-the-mill skating rink, arcade games, and laser tag, but it also has an area called “soft play and inflatables” that was perfect for our girls and their cousin Jackson (he is about 3 months older than C & M).

M was a little tentative at first about bouncing around in the inflatable “Mickey Park,” but she got the hang of it after a while.

C obviously had no problem jumping in a playing around. She’s definitely our fearless child. Funny how she hasn’t been the one with the most injuries (knock on wood!).

If you are ever in the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area, and you need to entertain some youngins’, I would highly recommend the Fun Warehouse (did I mention it was only $5 for unlimited play? In the immortal words of Lil’ Jon, “YEEEE-AH!“).

We were lucky enough to have some beautiful weather while we were in town too. I was worried it was going to be so cold and windy the entire time that we wouldn’t be able to enjoy the beach, but the last two days we were there were just right for playing outside.

I’ve got so many more pictures to show you, but I don’t want to overload you today! Stay tuned for a follow up post tomorrow which will feature all of our Thanksgiving Day festivities!
