As you saw from last week’s post, we have had one long week of nothing but fun and parties! My grandmother made it last even longer by having us over for dinner last Friday since she was out of town for the girls’ actual birth date. I had such a fun week, but I’ll be glad to calm down and get back to normal too. Meanwhile, please swoon with me over these amazing shots by an equally amazing photographer, Meredith Cooper.
Aren’t these pictures fabulous? The polka dot party was a huge success, and I am SO thankful Meredith was there to capture everything! I had never really thought about having a photographer at a birthday party, but if you want to be able to enjoy the party AND have great pictures, hire one (Meredith would appreciate your business I’m sure)! The best part about the party? When it came time for smash cakes, Caroline dove right on in, but Mackenzie decided she didn’t like being “messy.” How crazy is that? I would have thought they would have both loved it, but I guess we’ve got a girly girl on our hands in the form of Mackenzie!
What an exciting, crazy, fun-filled year this last year has been! It has been one of ups and downs, dirty diapers and sleepless nights, hugs and tears, laughter, kisses, and so much more. The past year has been trying at times, but I wouldn’t trade the experiences I’ve had for anything. My girls have brought so much joy to my life, and to the lives of others, and I don’t know if I remember what life was like before them. I’m so excited to embark on this next step in their journey, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them!
