Wreck It Ralph No Carve Pumpkins

I am a huge fan of no carve pumpkins. I am just no good at actually carving pumpkins. All the creative stencils in the world can’t save the mess I make when I carve. Last year, I had to help my girls create some pumpkins for their class project, and, I’ll admit, I got a little addicted. Creating cute pumpkins without a ton of mess afterwards? Sign me up!No carve pumpkin inspired by Vanellope from Wreck It Ralph. We are big Wreck It Ralph fans in this house, so the fact that the sequel is coming out next month has us all giddy with anticipation! I was inspired by Ralph and Vanellope for these particular pumpkins, but the new movie has so many great characters to choose from!

Wreck It Ralph Pumpkin Instructions

To create our favorite wrecker of all things, you will need:

  • Orange craft pumpkin
  • Paint (I chose spray paint because it’s fast and I’m lazy)
  • Painter’s Tape
  • Cloth or Felt
  • Paint Pen in blue and/or teal
  • Buttons
  • Spray adhesive

Directions

First, tape off the pumpkin in the pattern of Ralph’s shirt. It’s a plaid pattern, but don’t worry if it’s not exact. I prefer to do things quickly, so I freehand just about everything I do. Craft projects are more fun when they aren’t 100% perfect, right?Ralph inspired no carve pumpkin from Wreck It Ralph 2.Secondly, use your paint to paint on the plaid pattern. I used a combo of red and orange spray paint because that’s what I had available and I didn’t have to buy it (score for frugality)! If you look at photos of Ralph, the pattern is somewhat red and light red simultaneously. Combining my red and orange paint, along with the orange of the pumpkin made it turn out perfectly for me.

While you’re waiting on the paint to dry, use your cloth or felt to freehand the shape of Ralph’s overalls. Hint: I didn’t go all the way around the pumpkin with this part. Since they are sitting on my porch, no one is seeing the back of the pumpkin anyway! I used felt for this part because I could make it fold the way I wanted it to.Close up of Ralph's pumpkin. Finally, when the initial paint is dry, start adding the teal shirt peeking up from Ralph’s collar as well as the light lines in his shirt. Finish it off with some buttons and, voila! You’re done!Make this easy Wreck It Ralph no carve pumpkin for Halloween! Instructions for how to replicate this look are included in less than 10 steps.  Vanellope Von Schweetz Pumpkin Instructions

I love, love, love Vanellope. I’ve loved her since the first Wreck It Ralph film, and her spunk in the sequel is going to be even more hilarious, if that’s possible! Vanellope’s pumpkin is going to be even easier for you to recreate than Ralph’s!Vanellope no carve pumpkin is easy for a Halloween DIY.

Here’s everything you need:

  • Teal craft pumpkin
  • Jewels or artificial candy pieces
  • Pink ribbon or craft yarn
  • Spray adhesive

Teal pumpkins are abundant nowadays. Children with food allergies and/or sensitivities know that a teal pumpkin means the house handing out treats on Halloween night will have an allergy friendly option for them. So, cross two things off your list by having a cute pumpkin and letting your neighbors know your house is allergy friendly!

Directions

Create Vanellope’s signature look by using the craft ribbon or yarn. Tie it off around the top of pumpkin stem and loop it over on the ends to give the appearance of “hoodie ties.” Then, cut some shorter piece to glue on the front of the pumpkin to give the idea of her front hoodie “pocket.”Vanellope Von Schweetz no carve pumpkinNext, spray a thin layer of adhesive spray on top of the pumpkin on either side of the stem. Add jewels or candy pieces one at a time until you think there are enough. I looked all over my local craft store for some pieces that looked more like candy, but I guess I was a week too early for some of the Christmas crafts. The jewels I found worked as a good substitute.

Finally, I used an old headband that no longer fit my girls and cut it in half to tie on top to finish of the entire look.Vanellope Von Schweetz make a great inspiration for a no carve pumpkin! In RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET, video-game bad guy Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) and best friend Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) leave the comforts of Litwak’s arcade in an attempt to save her game, Sugar Rush. Their quest takes them to the vast, uncharted world of the internet where they rely on the citizens of the internet—the Netizens—to help navigate their way. Lending a virtual hand are Yesss (voice of Taraji P. Henson), the head algorithm and the heart and soul of the trend-making site “BuzzzTube,” and Shank (voice of Gal Gadot), a tough-as-nails driver from a gritty online auto-racing game called Slaughter Race, a place Vanellope wholeheartedly embraces—so much so that Ralph worries he may lose the only friend he’s ever had. Directed by Rich Moore (“Zootopia,” “Wreck-It Ralph”) and Phil Johnston (co-writer “Wreck-It Ralph,” “Zootopia,” writer, “Cedar Rapids”), and produced by Clark Spencer (“Zootopia,” “Wreck-It Ralph,” “Bolt,” “Lilo & Stitch”), “Ralph Breaks the Internet” hits theaters on Nov. 21, 2018.
